To the right of the toolbar is a search box that allows users to search for a specific location. On the left side of the image is a panel that indicates map settings as well as layer details. On the bottom right of the image is a "Place map" button, which then adds the map to the Story. The middle of the image displays a gray- and- white-colored map of the world.
Express Maps can be customized in a limited number of ways. This includes adding a legend or choosing from 3 different basemaps, including a terrain map and 2 black and white maps (one distinctly showing country borders).
