Statistics on the UNLV population (both current and historic) were compiled by the Office of Decision Support. See "Data Request" to request the full datasets.

What do we consider "local" data?

UNLV researchers live and work in the Las Vegas Valley which affects the way we view "local" data. The Las Vegas Valley or Las Vegas Metropolitan Area broadly covers: the City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, City of Henderson, Boulder City and unincorporated towns such as Spring Valley, Enterprise, Paradise, Mt. Charleston, and Pahrump. Our local data list will only contain data sources within the boundaries of our definition of "local". Scroll further down to access other Nevada data sources.

Boulder City GIS
Boulder City GIS provides maps, apps, and geodatabase management for most city departments.
City of Henderson GIS data portal
The City of Henderson has created this GIS data portal to allow our GIS data to be as transparent, discoverable, and usable as possible. Please note that this data is offered as a general reference only.
City of Las Vegas GeoCommons
The city's GIS digital commons for exploring, visualizing, and downloading GIS data, as well as using our APIs to build new web and mobile applications.
Clark County GIS Management Office
The GIS Management Office provides technology services and tools that support various agencies and the public to conduct business with Clark County.
Clark County Regional Flood Control District GIS
The District utilizes GIS in developing desktop and web-based applications used by both staff and the general public.
Las Vegas Geocommons API
The same GIS data you would find in the link above, but in API form. Accommodates work in ArcMap and ArcGIS Online.
Las Vegas Valley Water District GPS Data Share
GPS information is available in RTK corrections via the internet and by radio. The static data files for all Las Vegas Valley Water District base station sites is available. This data is kept on a rolling, 30-day basis
Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada GIS Open Data Portal
This site provides GIS data for RTC items, such as ridership, bus stops, bike routes, fiber cables, transit data, etc.
RTC Maps & Guides
Provides reference for RTC routes, schedules, points of interest and more. Interactive maps and color-coded maps of routes are also available.

The Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology provides numerous tools, datasets, and information regarding the state geological survey. The data on this website are supplied as-is and the agencies make no warranties of any kind.
Nevada Department of Transportation
The Geospatial Data Services team provides maps and imagery to a wide array of consumers throughout the Department. Some of these products are also available to the public, including the Nevada Map Atlas and aerial imagery. This data is for general reference purposes only.
Nevada Department of Wildlife GIS & Data
