Open Access

Open access (OA) is defined as a "broad international movement that seeks to grant free and open online access to academic information" and can include articles, journals, data, books, and other scholarly publications. There are various tools and resources that can assist you in publishing or accessing open access literature.

Open Article Fund

The School of Medicine Library has established an open article fund to assist researchers by providing limited funding to cover the cost of article publication charges (APC). The fund is open to residents, fellows, and faculty at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV who submit collaborative publications with medical students, residents, fellows, or faculty. More information can be found on the School of Medicine Library: Open Article Fund guide
