Community Faculty are an integral part of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. Here at the School of Medicine Library, we welcome you to use our library resources and services in support of your educational and research endeavors with our learners. This page provides information to help you become familiar with how to best use our resources and services.

Getting Started

Where we are located:

We are located at 625 Shadow Lane in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District. The library is located on the third floor of the Medical Education Building and is available to all affiliated Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, medical students, faculty, residents, fellows, post-doctoral students, and staff.

SOML Staffed Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM.

Available 24/7 with badge card access provided by the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine

 

How to access our resources:

Affiliated users have 24/7 access to our extensive and growing collection of library databases, e-books, e-journals, and more. Please refer to the Important Accounts section below to ensure you are set-up with the proper accounts to take full advantage of our resources.

Access to the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine Medical Education Building (MEB) is possible through badge access provided to UNLV-affiliated users by their respective programs and departments. However, if you feel you should have card access but do not, please contact the medical school's help desk at help@medicine.unlv.edu for assistance.

 

 

ACE Account:

The ACE Account allows access to computers, software, printing and library resources. It is managed through the University Office of Information and Technology.

  • The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine's Faculty Affairs Department determines your need for an ACE Account through your letter of appointment and community faculty affiliation process, so please contact them if you believe you should have one and do not.

Maintaining Faculty Status

Community Faculty status requires a minimum of 25 hours documented service per year to maintain your faculty status.
