Service Details

  • Materials available
  • The laser cutter is staff mediated and requires an appointment.
  • Project design and support from staff
    • Consultation request. Time on equipment is subject to availability during designing/planning consultations.
  • Policy
    • Only approved materials sold by the Makerspace may be used with the laser cutter.
    • You may not use the laser cutter unsupervised. To use the laser cutter, you must make an appointment with a Makerspace employee who will assist you with your project.
    • Never leave a laser-cutting project unattended. You must be present for the entirety of your project.
    • The library cannot guarantee item quality or stability, nor the confidentiality of designs. Any finishing steps (e.g. sanding, assembly, painting, etc.) is the responsibility of the user.
