Service Details

  • Materials available
  • 3D Printers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Project design and support from staff
    • Consultation request. Time on equipment is subject to availability during designing/planning consultations.
  • Policy
    • Only approved materials sold by the Makerspace may be used with the 3D printers.
    • Do not leave the 3D Printer unattended while it is printing unless arranged with staff in writing.
    • Overnight printing is not permitted.
    • The library cannot guarantee item quality or stability, nor the confidentiality of designs. Any finishing steps (e.g. removing rafts/supports, sanding, removing paper backing, etc.) is the responsibility of the user.

    • Print Material: PLA (polylactic acid) plant-based plastic filament sold by the Makerspace
    • Print Supports: same material as the model, or PVA filament sold by the Makerspace
