There are a variety of ways to request items that the University Libraries do not currently own, or that are currently unavailable. Visit this page to see them (http://guides.library.unlv.edu/interlibraryloan/) . Often you will receive a pdf copy sent to your UNLV email account. This service is free to UNLV faculty, staff, and students! You may need to register your Rebel Card barcode with the libraries first.
The search tool located at the top of many of the University Libraries' webpages allows you to search for books and many other items in our collections. You can search using keywords, or you can limit your search to certain types or locations. Note: Some books that are updated on a regular basis may not be listed in library collections as "books" so please do try a general search if you don't find what you need in a limited search.
More Ways to Discover Books
You can use Hathi Trust, WorldCat, and Google Books to search for books all over the world.
Search this database listing books in libraries worldwide to discover what's been published on a subject. The Get Text button will link you to a Document Delivery Services form to request books from other libraries.
