Graduate College sends Conferral List to University Libraries
The Conferral List is a list of students who had degrees conferred to them that semester. That's a little different from walking at graduation.
- Sometimes there are graduate students who think they're graduating one semester and they walk at graduation and begin for post-grad life, but it turns out they didn't officially graduate--perhaps they didn't receive the passing grade they needed in their last class, didn't take all the required credits, or something else. The Conferral List confirms who actually graduated per Graduate College and University requirements.
- This is important for the University Libraries because we can't publish an ETD for a current graduate student or one who didn't graduate.
