The non-profit International Code Council (ICC) provides free, view-only, online access to building safety and fire prevention codes and standards that are used by many government agencies. Includes 2012 International Energy Conservation Code, 2012 International Building Code, and 2012 International Fire Code.

Find a wide variety of engineering-related handbooks and manuals at this U.S. Department of Agriculture, NRCS website.

Search for and access .pdf files for Department of Defense standards and specification documents that have been cleared for public access.
