The UNLV Libraries uses EBL as one of it's vendors for ebooks. EBL has a LibGuide that provides helpful information on accessing ebooks, searching the EBL interface, printing, downloading and using e-books on mobile devices. More information regarding the EBL platform is below:
Printing - The default print allowance is 20% of the ebook's total content. The Summary section of the Print page and the Details tab shows your used and remaining print allowance.
Copy/Paste - Copy and pasting is allowed up to 5% of the ebook's total content. E-books may be downloaded for a limited duration to an offline reader capable of handling Adobe Digital Editions.
Downloading - The default download period is 7 days.
Bookmarks & Notes - Users can create bookmarks and notes on any page within an ebook, but can only perform these functions when reading an ebook in the EBL Online Reader.

Printing - Printing is based on print limits, which is 30% of the total number of pages in an e-book.
Copy/Paste - The same page limitations apply to copy/paste as to printing and is 15% of the total number of pages in an e-book.
Downloading - Books may be downloaded to Adobe Digital Edition readers for 7 days if SUPO; 14 days if MUPO.
Notes - Users can take notes and highlight, but need to be logged in to the Bookshelf.
The UNLV Libraries also uses EBSCOhost as a vendor for ebooks. EBSCOhost has a LibGuide that provides helpful information on accessing ebooks, searching the EBL interface, printing, downloading and using e-books on mobile devices. More information regarding the EBSCOhost platform is below:
Printing - User may be able to print up to 100 pages. The pages can be saved or emailed as a PDF file from within the EBook viewer to be printed at a later time.
Copy/paste - copying and pasting is possible within limits from some titles. Not all titles allow this option.
Downloading - If allowed by the publisher,e-books may be downloaded to an offline reader capable of handling Adobe Digital Editions (PC or Mac). The software needed for mobile devices is the free Bluefire Reader App. The download period may vary and on average it is 1-7 days.
Notes - Notetaking feature assists users by allowing you to take notes on eBooks and save them to your My EBSCOhost folder for viewing later.
