Welcome! This guide is designed to help you with assignments for the History of Rock and Roll class and assembling your promotional package.
Please keep in mind that music resources can be located in several places: print books about music (i.e. musician biographies) are located at Lied Library, music recordings are located at the Music Library, and additional e-books and encyclopedia can be found online. The Music Library is located in the Beam Music Center at the northeast corner of campus.
Use the tabs above to find different types of resources.
In an effort to help alleviate the impact of high textbook costs on students, the UNLV Consolidated Students of the University of Nevada (CSUN) provides generous support to the University Libraries to purchase high-cost textbooks required for courses with high enrollment. Thanks to this generous sponsorship the library is able to offer access to more than 400 required textbooks to students. The University Libraries would like to thank CSUN for choosing us as one of the campus organizations they support and for their unwavering advocacy for our students.
Not all textbooks required in all courses taught at UNLV will be available in the CSUN Textbook Collection. Use the Course Reserves Search Bar and search by Course Name to view availability of textbooks.
One copy of the second edition of the MUS 125 course package Rock 'n Roll Origins and Innovators can be checked out for short intervals via the CSUN Textbook Program. This does not include access to online materials. Please consult your syllabus or instructor for details on how to arrange access.
