University Libraries Student Assistant Employment Guide: Training

REBELearn is UNLV’s enterprise-wide learning management system (LMS) focused on employee professional development. REBELearn delivers, consolidates, and tracks campus training activities including required compliance-based courses and professional development offerings.

The required trainings below are available in REBELearn.

• Preventing Harassment and Discrimination - Title IX Office
• General Workplace Safety - Office of Risk Management and Safety
• Understanding Public Records - Office of Public Affairs

RebelSAFE Alert is the emergency notification system used for incidents that present an imminent threat to life, health or safety to UNLV students, employees, faculty, and community members. RebelSAFE Alert messages provide emergency information and instructions to protect yourself during an emergency.  

Download the RebelSAFE App from iTunes or the Google Play Store. Keeping you informed via push notifications, the app provides a variety of safety features directly from your smartphone.

Aside from the required training there are other online training opportunities available to you. UNLV has subscriptions to LinkedIn Learning and Academic Impressions. They are free to you as long as you login with your ACE account. If you would like to watch a training/workshop during working hours, you must get your supervisors approval beforehand.

LinkedIn Learning offers thousands of on-demand courses on business, creative, and technology skills - available for free to UNLV students, faculty, and staff. Use your ACE account to log in to LinkedIn Learning

Academic Impressions

All members of the UNLV community — including faculty, administrators, staff, and students — will be able to take advantage of professional development opportunities through AI’s online repository at any time.
