Colleges, Schools, and Departments

Academic units comprise the university's colleges, schools, departments, and educational programs. UNLV is comprised of 18 major academic units.

Academic Success Center

By establishing partnerships across the university, the Academic Success Center (ASC) helps students achieve their educational goals and complete their studies on time. The ASC offers or refers students to programs and resources such as advising, career exploration, skills testing, tutoring, and more.

College of Education

The College of Education creates an intellectual environment that promotes quality instruction, significant research, and professional service. With four unique departments, graduates receive the necessary tools and experiences to make an impact on local, national, and global scales.

Graduate College

The Graduate College supports a wide range of graduate certificate, master's, specialist, and doctoral degrees offered through the university's many academic units.  Students are provided with a quality academic experience in their coursework, research/creative activity, and professional development opportunities.

College of Sciences

Lee Business School

The Lee Business School advances the knowledge and practice of business, develops business leaders, and fosters intellectual and economic vitality through the creation and dissemination of knowledge and outreach.

Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering

The College of Engineering provides students a solid foundation in several engineering disciplines for a successful career in engineering and computer science.

Honors College

The Honors College is a selective college within the university that offers an exceptional undergraduate core experience for highly motivated students. Honors College is an educational partner with the "discipline" colleges of the university in which Honors students pursue their academic majors.

School of Integrated Health Sciences

The School of Integrated Health Sciences prepares students for entry-level health-related positions and further graduate or professional studies with classroom instruction, laboratory/clinical practice, research, and mentoring.

College of Liberal Arts

The College of Liberal Arts offers students a well-rounded education in the humanities and social sciences, and provides students with a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning and discovery.

School of Public Health

The School of Public Health is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people worldwide. Our departments, programs, and research units work to provide a diverse education, practical training experience, and numerous community involvement opportunities to prepare students to become leaders and professionals in the field of public health.

School of Dental Medicine

As the only accredited dental school in Nevada, the School of Dental medicine provides world-class oral health education while providing for the dental needs of Nevada residents. With eight academic degree and advanced education certificate programs, students obtain the necessary skills to provide oral healthcare services to the community and make significant impacts to the field.

College of Fine Arts

The College of Fine Arts provides an academic experience that heightens awareness of the physical, intellectual, and cultural world while preparing students for professional employment and/or post-graduate study in their artistic area.

William F. Harrah College of Hospitality

The William F. Harrah College of Hospitality is one of the highest ranked hospitality management programs in the world, blending classroom and real-world experience to give students a real pathway to a successful career.

William S. Boyd School of Law

The William S. Boyd School of Law prepares students for the competent and ethical practice of law, offering three- and four-year programs for the Juris Doctor degree.

School of Nursing

The School of Nursing educates nurses at the undergraduate and graduate levels to meet health care needs in Nevada and beyond. The School of Nursing promotes, improves, and sustains human health through evidence-based education and advances in research and practice.

Greenspun College of Urban Affairs

The Greenspun College of Urban Affairs is committed to creating contemporary solutions for resilient communities. Its academic programs focus on effective public policymaking, creating support structures to meet behavioral and mental health challenges, ensuring cities are safe and prepared to meet emergency situations, effective and ethical journalism, and interpersonal and public communication strategies.
