Our libraries

This guide gives advice and instructions for using our online resources and for using Lied Library, UNLV's largest library.  Use the tabs on the left to get to this information.  We also have several smaller, specialized libraries and research centers that are worth checking out:

  • Architecture Studies Library (ASL) -- collects resources on the professional field of architecture, building and construction, urban planning, landscape architecture, interior design, and more.
  • Teacher Development and Resources Library (TDRL) -- collects resources for teacher education, as well as an extensive collection of literature for children and young adults.
  • Music Library -- collects research sources, scores, and recordings to support learning about music.
  • School of Medicine Library -- serves all faculty, staff, students and researchers in UNLV’s health sciences programs – Allied Health Sciences, Community Health Sciences, Dental Medicine, Medicine, and Nursing, as well as other programs that are in clinical or biomedical areas.
  • Center for Gaming Research -- Located within Lied Library, the Center for Gaming Research is a world-class hub for the scholarly analysis of gambling and gaming issues.

Services for disabled persons

The library works with UNLV’s Disability Resource Center to accommodate reasonable requests for assistance in obtaining, accessing, and making use of library resources, materials and services.

Tutoring

The Academic Success Center (ASC) offers free tutoring for a variety of UNLV courses throughout the school year. Drop-in tutoring is typically available on the 2nd floor of Lied Library, but for the spring semester of 2021 all tutoring is virtual only -- check out the website for more details.
