The guide is intended to provide reliable information for current and prospective college students who are seeking financial assistance.   "External" sources of funding for college are emphasized, which may be of particular use to students who are currently ineligible for U.S. federal financial aid for any reason.  

Learning More About Funding Options for Students

Where to look for funding options, including grants, scholarships, and loans. 

UNLV offers additional support to students with financial needs, including the Hope Scholars Program for on campus housing, the UNLV food pantry, and additional emergency assistance for students ( Emergency Loans ), the Supporting our Students Fund, and (Graduate Access Emergency Retention Grants).  Individual colleges and schools may also offer assistance.

Currernt or admitted UNLV students should start here: UNLV Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships https://www.unlv.edu/finaid to learn about important deadlines and to complete the appropriate form(s) to begin the process of obtaining financial aid.  Current UNLV students should also be sure to watch for emails sent to your student email account from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for important information and opportunities.

UNLV Office of Sponsored Programs maintains a list of funding for graduate and undergraduate students to support your time in college and your student research.  

The Consolidated Students of UNLV (CSUN) provides scholarships and research funding for undergraduate students.

UNLV Military and Veterans Services Center (https://www.unlv.edu/veterans/financial-aid) provides information about financial aid for veterans and their families.
