Adding a Readership Map to a Libguide

These instructions show how to add a Digital Scholarship@UNLV readership map to a LibGuide.

You will need to have a browser window open for both Digital Scholarship and also for the LibGuide you are working on in edit mode.

Navigate to the map in Digital Scholarship you want to show on your Libguide
Click the <embed> button on the lower left corner of the map
Choose standard (this size seems to fit well on our LibGuide layout)
In the LibGuide browser window, choose the page you are going to place the map on.
Create a new Rich Text/HTML content section (not Media/Widget)
Choose the “source” view option
Paste both parts of the text from the Readership Embed page (the script) into the LibGuide Box
Find the url for the published page of the Libguide (e.g. http://guides.library.unlv.edu/hospitality)
Enter the url where the map will reside after the origin tag in the script code (delete the placeholder text) - see below for an example.
Save your LibGuide changes
The map will not display correctly in edit view. Use preview to determine if it is working.
