Why is there a need for this guide?
The authors and their colleagues are frequently asked about opportunities and the journey to begin a career in this industry. We hope that this will provide accurate information for the reader to begin their exploration into the field and culture of the profession, as well as, the variety of roles and expertise needed to thrive. The guide was also created in conjunction with a library career exploration for the 25th Anniversary of Lied Library.
