This is different from other research papers I have written. What should I be looking for?

Each of the following could provide starting points for your research:

Production details

  • Author/creator
  • Time period
  • Genre/Category of artifact

Themes

  • What issues or questions does the artifact bring up?
  • Why do people spend time with the artifact?  Does it have a purpose?  A reason for its appeal?

Influences

  • Does the artifact draw inspiration from another artifact?
  • Has the artifact influenced the creation of other artifacts?

Encyclopedias for Background (Wikipedia often works for this too.)

Magazines and Newspapers

Books and Book Chapters in QuickSearch. Use the limiters to narrow to "Book" or "Book Chapter."
