UNLV and Generative AI

Highlights from UNLV's Policy on Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI:

  1. Students should clear use of AI with their instructors.
  2. Using AI in a way that does not match instructor guidelines counts as academic misconduct.
  3. Transparency is key: Let instructors know when you are using AI. Cite it like an outside source, and say how you used it.
  4. Accountability is crucial: Verify any information from AI with another source. If AI gets something wrong, it's still your responsibility.

Tip: When talking with instructors about using AI, be specific about how you want to use it and how it can help you learn.

Cornell Note-Taking System

This system helps you take organized notes that you can actually learn from. The videos from Cornell's Learning Strategies Center are quick and excellent.

Bonus: Here is a very good e-book if you are lost on how to take notes. Great advice for both lecture notes and research notes.
