This glossary is designed to help instructors and other visitors make sense of the terminology used in our Digital Learning Object (DLO) Inventory. Specifically, it explains the categories used to organize and filter our materials: Format and Subject.
Format refers to the type or delivery method of the DLO (e.g., video, worksheet, LibWizard tutorial).
Subject describes the main topic or area of focus (e.g., citation management, AI literacy, keyword development).
We’ve developed these categories to support discoverability and ease of use—especially for instructors looking to integrate DLOs into their teaching. Use this glossary to better understand how our materials are labeled and to find what best supports your instructional goals.
