The Career Collection on the second floor of Lied Library includes

• Books to help you make career choices
• Books about specific careers
• Books to help you prepare for careers, including test prep for graduate programs (MCAT, LSAT, GRE, etc.)

Browse (don't read word for word) each of the four examples below.  For each example:

• Try to figure out which questions this type of information could help you learn more about? Is it a good choice for exploring careers, or is it better for someone who is already deeply involved with the career?
• What can you tell about the author or agency who wrote the article?  What makes them worth taking seriously?

Example:  Chefs and Head Cooks

How I found it:

• They give you all kinds of ways to browse careers, including by industry and by important technology. You can even browse through a list of jobs that have a particularly bright outlook for employment opportunities.
• I just used the search box at the top right and searched for chefs.
