About this guide

With a focus on student safety and well-being, this guide is designed to provide general information and links to resources about anti-oppression and related topics such as diversity, inclusion, and social justice for the UNLV academic community. Intended to be non-partisan, many resources offered here are for everyone regardless of political affiliation or viewpoint. In some cases, resources and links related to issues and specific policies proposed by elected officials are part of this guide as these issues and proposed policies directly impact professional and personal lives of members of our community, such as immigrants or people of color.

988 Mental Health Crisis Lifeline
Call 988 for Suicide Prevention & Crisis Lifeline - free and confidential. If you need suicide or mental health-related crisis support, or are worried about someone else, please call or text 988. 988 is confidential, free, and available 24/7/365 to connect those experiencing a mental health, substance use, or suicidal crisis with trained crisis counselors. 988 call services will be available in Spanish. Toll free 988 access is available through every landline, cell phone, and voice-over internet device in the United States. Veterans may also use 988 and select 1 to be routed to the Veterans Crisis Line.

Therapy Assistance Online (TAO)
UNLV has partnered with Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) to provide "interactive sessions, mindfulness exercises and practice tools all aimed at helping UNLV students, faculty, and staff achieve their goals."

"UNLV does not discriminate in its employment practices or in its educational programs or activities, including admissions, on the basis of sex/gender pursuant to Title IX, or on the basis of any other legally protected category as is set forth in NSHE Handbook Title 4, Chapter 8, Section 13. UNLV - File an Incident Report - Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities
You can file a UNLV Student Conduct Incident Report with the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities at this link. You are not required to provide any identifying information in the form. The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas administers the Student Conduct Code, which identifies the University expectations for all students on and off campus. If you have knowledge of a UNLV student violating the Code, you are encouraged to notify this office of the incident.
Report Hate - Southern Poverty Law Center
"Please report incidents of hateful intimidation and harassment to your local law enforcement first. Submitting the incident to the Southern Poverty Law Center using this form will aid in our work monitoring incidents around the country. The SPLC is the premier U.S. non-profit organization monitoring the activities of domestic hate groups and other extremists – including the Ku Klux Klan, the neo-Nazi movement, neo-Confederates, racist skinheads, black separatists, antigovernment militias, Christian Identity adherents and others."
