Women in Medicine & Science

The majority of books on this page focus on stories about and by women physicians, health practitioners, and medical scientists.

Please visit the Women in Medicine Guide for non-narrative books and resources focused on women in the health professions.

Most of the titles on this page were purchased using funds from a
Collection Equity Award granted by Region 5 of the Network of the National Library of Medicine.
The goal of the award was to increase the representation of women and LGBTQIA+ in our Health Humanities Collection through stories, histories, and materials that highlight issues for these underrepresented groups through narrative or storytelling.

All books purchased with award funds have been labeled with a book plate or digital note.
