Spanish-English Dictionary of Health Related Terms by Health Initiative of the Americas, UC BerkeleyClick the title link to view e-book
This Bilingual Dictionary of Health Related Terms (English-Spanish and Spanish-English) was developed as an instrument for health care personnel and other professionals working with the Latino population in the United States. The main purpose of the dictionary is to strengthen communication between Spanish-speaking populations and the health workers serving them, and facilitate dialogue by reducing cultural and linguistic barriers.
Besides the proper terms in English and Spanish, this dictionary contains many popular expressions used in Mexico and Central America to describe names, signs and symptoms of illness. This fourth edition includes new terms on several health topics, including infectious diseases, chronic diseases, environmental health, and managed health care.
In this new edition of The Quantum Doctor Dr. Goswami boldly reinterprets the leading methods of alternative medicine - homeopathy, Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and Ayurveda, and conventional medicine. He shows how these seemingly different models can be combined into a new system of integral medicine and offers profound insights into the relationship between physics and consciousness. "Dr. Amit Goswami as usual has the most brilliant insights into how consciousness conceives, governs, constructs, and becomes biology." -Deepak Chopra
