Lied Library Space Enhancement Project: Goldfield Room


The Goldfield Room provides a meeting and event space for up to 200 people.  It is used for internal library meetings (for example, all 120 library staff can participate in large strategic planning meetings), library academic events (such as the Lance and Elena Calvert Undergraduate Research Award receptions), and library community events (e.g. the Center for Gaming Research Las Vegas Author Series).  It has also been used by the libraries for campus academic events in which we are partners (such as the Rebel STEM Academy).

This space was previously occupied by the Graduate Lounge (as shown in the before photo below), which was moved a more optimal space on the second floor.  The after photos below are of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Oral History Research Center.
