Funding for enhancement projects comes from the library’s budget. Additional sources of funding include:
Student Fees & Fines Accounts: The library receives a portion of student fees collected with tuition, and uses those funds to support enhancement projects that directly benefit students. Fines collected by the library support projects that benefit all users. The library is using several years of student fees, fines, and print charges to fund some enhancement projects.
Donor Funds: Generous donors support library facilities and projects that otherwise wouldn’t be funded through other channels. In some cases, supporters donate funding to support a specific space, and in other cases, unrestricted funds are donated to be used at the Dean’s discretion. Naming opportunities are also available and provide a source of discretionary funds to support this project. Naming opportunities range in scope from a table or carrel to a group study room to a larger space, such as the exhibit gallery.
